COME, YOUNGEST TO OLDEST, to an area-wide intergener-ational evening worship service entitled "Ageless Treasures in Earthen Vessels." Dr. Stephen Sapp, Coral Gables, FL, will speak on "Holes and Wholes" as well as give a children's story next Sunday, May 5 at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church at 6:30pm. The Shout for Joy children's choir will sing. Childcare provided. An offering will be taken for Goshen Interfaith Hospitality Network. They could use Post-it notes (all sizes), White-out correction fluid, small paper bathroom cups, fabric softener sheets, laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, sponges, disposable diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, children's band-aids, children's books (all ages, English and Spanish). GREETING
US this morning are Jane Swihart and Joe Farrell.
Jane has been an 8th Street member
for about 35 years. She is a first
grade teacher at Waterford Elementary.
She enjoys her two grandchildren, reading, and walking. She has 3 grown children. Recently she visited Matt who is studying in
Germany and enjoyed seeing many museums and cathedrals with him. Jane has always been involved in 8th
Street's ministry particularly in the Christian Education department. Most recently she has chaired the Preschool
Board, been Bible School coordinator and is the coordinator for Sunday morning
refreshments.
Joe is supposed to be retired. He retired from Conrail but is now working
construction and driving truck for a business in Warsaw. He likes working in his yard. He has 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He first came to 8th Street in 1972 and was
church treasurer sometime in the 1970s, he says. His most recent news is that his daughter Kristin got married on
April 19 to Shannon Garland in Florida.
Kristin plans to have a reception in Goshen May 18.

Concerning Our Church
Family and Friends:
Agnes Cripe was admitted to Goshen
General Hospital April 16 but is back at Greencroft in her room at The Gables.
Allen Miller was admitted to Goshen
General Hospital last Sunday morning with stomach pains. He underwent tests and was released on
Tuesday.
Verna Weaver was released from
Goshen General Hospital on Wednesday.
She was able to move to Greencroft in assisted living at The Evergreens.
ANYONE INTERESTED in a weight
management support group should plan to attend an organizational meeting
Tuesday, May 7 at the church at 7pm.
This group is open to men, women, old and young and in-between. At that meeting we will determine a regular
time to meet that suits all involved.
If you have questions, contact Sharon Risser. Sharon says, "The program we use, we actually get full when
we eat. Both Doug and I know we are
definitely eating more healthy."

SPECIAL MOTHER'S DAY SALE (by Friends of Goldenrod): a sale of flowers in hanging baskets and
containers at Goldenrod Gardens May 4 & 11 from 9am - 5pm. See pink poster on bulletin board. Proceeds will benefit persons with developmental
and other disabilities who are served by Mennonite Disabilities Committee. Goldenrod Gardens is located at the

CHURCH
LEAGUE SOFTBALL is starting the week of May 6 at Prairie Camp (located on CR 9,
south of CR 32). We will be playing
once a week in the Recreational C League (as we have in the past) on either
Tuesday or Friday evenings. Games are
from 6-8pm and8-10pm. Anybody (male or
female) is welcome to sign up. There is
a sign-up sheet on the large bulletin board near the church parlor for people
to sign-up. They will then receive
information on the season. Sign up

GIVE LACASA A HAND! Skilled and unskilled volunteers are needed for LaCasa's May 11 Help-a-House Day. Or you may donate to provide funds. Your support is needed to make Help-A-House a success and to make a difference in our community. Last Sunday Help-A-House brochures were distributed in the mailboxes with volunteer registration and donation forms to complete by May 1.

INVITED to the Eighth Street Menno-nite Women's (WIM) May Celebration on
Wednesday, May 8 at 6:30pm here at Eighth Street. Come and enjoy a light evening meal and a musical program
featuring Susan Yoder and her daughter Jennie.
If you have no female relatives in the area with whom to come, come
alone! Or if you would prefer to be
with someone, ask a friend young or old.
We need a number count by May 1.
Drop a card in the offering plate with your name and the number you'll
bring, or call the church office and Jeannette will take the information.
A GUIDE TO PRAYER: The grand opening of the Family Life Center takes place this week in Macau. Pray that the celebration will be a day of rejoicing in what God is doing through the center and that the ministry to families of blue-collar workers will prove effective.

Approximately $75,000 was raised for the tuition assistance fund which helps students to attend Bethany.
